An optimistic believer in digital’s transformative power on the landscape of B2B marketing, Josh brings over a decade of agency experience to his role as CEO and president of Blue Flame Thinking. He also brings a lifetime spent in the act of artistic creation and expression…and some serious coding skills.

Josh’s journey from artist to coder to creator of enterprise-grade software applications to digital marketing team leader to business owner began with the realization that the act of creating is more important than the medium used.

It’s not that I am less of a ‘maker’ now. I’m just making something that serves other makers: an agency that provides clients and staff members with a better way to express themselves.

Elise Schmieder, Digital Designer

To be honest, Elise has been here for some time, working as an intern while she attended Kendall College of Art & Design. She was the dream intern—hard working, determined, talented and open to learning from anyone on any topic.

During this time, she’s made it clear that she is driven by her commitment: “Continue pushing myself. There’s always room for improvement. Not only does it make you feel better about your own success, but also the impact you make on others.”

She has been making an impact at BFT by teaching us how to work with the next generation of marketing professionals. Having her officially join the team as a digital designer means everyone wins, especially our clients, who will continue benefiting from her fresh perspective.

Elise loves to take photos of nature and work she admires, which she then studies to better understand how and why it was created. She unwinds by walking, weaving, playing piano and spending time with friends and family.

Liz Le, Senior Account Director

Liz is always looking for ways to bring value and vitality to brands, from strategic planning to concept development and production to launch. Her goal: delivering results that increase conversions, market share and revenue.

With 12 years of experience, Liz’s background spans the automotive, hospitality, finance and real estate industries. She has worked on brands that have included Subaru, St. Regis, Loews and Hyatt Hotels, and BMO Harris Bank.

When Liz isn’t busy looking for the next big idea for our clients, she serves as chairman of her charity’s associate board. She also enjoys running along the paths by Lake Michigan, whipping up new recipes, traveling and brushing up on her subpar golf game.
