An optimistic believer in digital’s transformative power on the landscape of B2B marketing, Josh brings over a decade of agency experience to his role as CEO and president of Blue Flame Thinking. He also brings a lifetime spent in the act of artistic creation and expression…and some serious coding skills.

Josh’s journey from artist to coder to creator of enterprise-grade software applications to digital marketing team leader to business owner began with the realization that the act of creating is more important than the medium used.

It’s not that I am less of a ‘maker’ now. I’m just making something that serves other makers: an agency that provides clients and staff members with a better way to express themselves.

Addie Whelan, Social Media Coordinator

Addie knows a thing or two about building a loyal following. After starting a thriving music magazine while still a student at Loyola University Chicago. She’s excited about pursuing her passion for all things social. Addie brings hands-on experience and the strategies she honed while working in the healthcare, hospitality and music industries. Whether investigating the latest Instagram algorithm, studying Facebook ads, discovering emerging LinkedIn influencers or even starting trends on Twitter, Addie is leading the pack.


Phil Bernabe, Account Manager
Phil has spent almost a decade helping the clients he’s worked for produce the best possible work, which suits our “Find Your Better” philosophy to a T! With accounts like DIRECTV, Volkswagen and Jaguar under his belt, we’re happy to have his talents focused on our client initiatives. When Phil isn’t helping guide accounts to bigger and better places, he can be found rooting for the basketball and football teams of his alma mater, Michigan State. Yes, we’ve managed to land another Spartan!


Rebecca Forrester, Account Director

Rebecca brings over eight years of guiding and building brands in the digital marketing, performance consulting and software development industries. She’s ready to focus her extensive background in both project and account management to make our clients’ accounts soar. A graduate of Central Michigan University, Rebecca makes her home in Grand Rapids where she is equally comfortable on the beach as she is on the golf course. A legendary prankster, we’re excited to see what tricks she has up her sleeve!
