What are your favorite industry websites, books, or other resources?
The first that comes to mind is “The Daily Carnage,” a daily marketing newsletter I’ve followed for four or five years. It’s essentially a real-time case study in digital marketing centered around content marketing and audience building. The group behind it gives a peek behind their curtain, sharing their audience-building strategy every step of the way. In the process, they’ve also created a large community of marketers who share ideas and resources.
Which types of projects have been the most personally rewarding?
I love projects centered around storytelling. Don’t tell me what you do; tell me why you do it. I care about mission and what drives a company and its people. More times than I can count, I’ve seen an ad or piece that made me say, “I don’t care what they’re selling; I’m buying it.” To me, that’s peak marketing magic.
If you had to choose a superpower, what would it be and why?
Time travel. How many times have we always wanted to go back and change something? Also, how fun would it be to take a day trip to the Roaring ’20s or experience the future before anyone else?
Thanks, Danielle! We’re looking forward to finding our better together.
