Josh leans on his thirst for knowledge and effective research skills to tackle most hurdles in life, whether it’s through his work as a web developer, DIY, or exploring new hobbies.
Projects that have been personally rewarding for him include those that push him to gain new knowledge and effectively use it. Professionally, that may look like learning a new language or feature—and implementing it into production.
Something unexpected he came across in his career that made a process easier is the concept of “Rubber Duck” conversations. You might find him soaking up the sun and pacing his backyard with his dogs when he’s gnawing on a problem. (What? No puns?)
We ask all our new employees to fill out a survey when they first start up. Get to know Josh with some of his answers and join us in welcoming him to the BFTeam!
What is your dream account/client and why?
The Detroit Red Wings. I have been watching them play for my entire life and make it a point to go to many games each year with my wife, family, and friends. Even if we lose, it’s always a fun night out.
With the constant rise of technology within the entire ecosystem around sports, I can only imagine how cool a project it would be to work on from both brand and technology aspects.
Customer experience and design are so important to the experience our clients’ customers have. What’s something you’ve done to help solve a marketing pain point?
Developed a “Add to Cart” and “Search” QR scan for use within physical store locations. Sometimes the products being presented could be overwhelmingly abundant without enough information available at the physical location to make a clear choice; this feature allowed stores to keep a clean appearance while giving customers access to more data if they wanted it.
Game of Thrones, Star Wars, or neither?
Both, but Star Wars takes priority. I own a lightsaber.
Josh, thanks for noticing the little details and asking questions right away. Even though you don’t like pineapple on your pizza, we can forgive you for that decision. We already see how you’re contributing to our team culture, and think you’ll be a great fit at BFT!
